Silver Palms Certified Assisted Living Center has been caring for seniors since October 2002 in the Mount Pleasant Community. We are locally and privately owned, providing caring and supportive residential living for seniors experiencing day-to-day challenges.

Silver Palms Assisted Living staff The staff’s goal, first and foremost, is to make sure you feel as if you are at home. Our staff members are specially trained to make the residents of Silver Palms feel loved, cared for, and safe. They sit with you, talk to you, listen to you, and figure out your wants, needs, and what makes you happy. They motivate you to do your own thing, do activities that make you feel empowered, and give you a sense of responsibility. Our staff will give you exactly the love and care you need and want, and they leave no stone unturned to make you feel as if you never left home.

Silver Palms Assisted Living Center Staff
Silver Palms Assisted Living Center is staffed by a team of knowledgeable and caring professionals. Each employee is carefully screened and interviewed before hiring to ensure that they are capable and dedicated to meeting the Silver Palms Assisted Living standard of care. Furthermore, all staff members undergo a thorough training process and are required to take regular continuing education classes focused on providing the latest and best assisted living care.
Our staff is available 24 hours a day, allowing us to monitor our residents and assist them when they need help. Having staff available 24- hours a day will enable us to be available If an emergency occurs.
Ryan and Sheila Matheney are the dedicated owners of Silver Palms Certified Assisted Living. Sheila Matheney earned her Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Health Sciences from the University of Missouri-Columbia, becoming a Licensed and Certified Speech Pathologist. She became a Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) and in 2004, she earned her Long-Term Care Administrators Degree from DMACC. Sheila has 27 years of experience in the extended care setting.
